Training of Adult Trainers for Lifelong Learning Centres, Second Chance Schools, Vocational Training Centres and Lifelong Learning Providers

Introduction

Adult education refers to the process of learning and acquiring knowledge and skills, as well as to continuing education, and is aimed at adults. Adults engage in education for a variety of reasons, such as upgrading their professional skills, acquiring new knowledge, retraining for re-entry into employment or personal development. Adult education differs from the education of children and adolescents and can take place in many settings, such as educational institutions (KEDIVIM, SCS, KEK), businesses, communities and online environments. Its purpose is to promote professional development, social inclusion, personal fulfilment and lifelong learning throughout adult life.

The training Course “TRAINING OF ADULT EDUCATORS FOR KEDIVIM, SCS, KEK AND LIFELONG LEARNING PROVIDERS” seeks to equip participants with the necessary professional training and knowledge to meet the demands of adult education and of lifelong learning and continuing training providers, and to prepare them for the EOPPEP Educational Competence certification examinations. It may also bring long-term financial benefits to participants, as it can improve their employment prospects and professional skills.

The ultimate aim of the Course is to train trainees through asynchronous distance learning. More specifically, the Course aims both to improve the trainee’s position in the labour market and to disseminate scientific knowledge empirically, enabling them to work in all non-formal education, lifelong learning and adult education structures of public or private bodies, as well as to take the EOPPEP Educational Competence certification examinations.
