Investment Financing
Introduction
The training Course “Investment Financing” is structured into three self-contained teaching/thematic Units, lasting three, two and three months respectively. Entering into contracts is an everyday reality in modern business. Businesses enter into contracts even before they are established. However, in order to survive in today’s economic climate and in the “market” in general, they are required to conclude all kinds of contracts, negotiate their terms, amend them and terminate them at the lowest possible cost or the greatest possible benefit, so that they can survive. Therefore, business owners, and above all business executives who conduct negotiations, must either have a legal adviser at their side at all times (which is impossible) or have the basic knowledge needed, in the early stages of negotiations, to identify the terms that must be agreed in principle, so as to conclude the best possible commercial agreement with the lowest possible risk. This Course provides the necessary legal and, to a certain extent, practical background for achieving the above objectives. A further aim of the Course is to develop an understanding of documentary credits, with examples and self-assessment tests in each Unit. Finally, the aim of this distance learning Course is for trainees to acquire comprehensive knowledge, excellent information and the ability to understand all the individual features governing the preparation of investment plans, as well as the methodologies for evaluating investments and business plans, with particular emphasis on the preparation of productive Investment Plans submitted under the development laws and of investment plans implemented in accordance with the specifications of the new National Strategic Reference Framework (NSRF). The objective of this distance learning Course is, therefore, to provide comprehensive and flexible training and to approach, both theoretically and practically, the technique of drafting and preparing Feasibility Studies, as well as the financing and evaluation of investment plans.
