Double Materiality Analysis

Introduction

The training course entitled “Double Materiality Analysis” is offered by the Centre for Training and Lifelong Learning (KEDIVIM) of the University of Piraeus, in cooperation with EY Greece. Double materiality analysis, which is now a central pillar of European and international guidelines (e.g. CSRD, ESRS), highlights both the sustainability-related risks and opportunities for businesses and the impact of businesses on people and the environment. Through a combination of theoretical training, tools and practical case studies, the Course provides participants with comprehensive knowledge of double materiality analysis and the ability to apply it across different sectors.

The aim of the Course is to provide knowledge for the practical application of double materiality analysis and the integration of its results into the sustainability report. The content of the Course covers both companies that publish a sustainability report in accordance with the CSRD/ESRS regulatory framework and small and medium-sized enterprises that publish a sustainability report in accordance with the voluntary VSME framework. The Course seeks to help develop executives and professionals capable of meeting the requirements of the new frameworks, both regulatory and voluntary, and of supporting the adoption of responsible business practices that strengthen competitiveness and sustainable development.
