The Course examines issues such as the education of students with special needs and constitutes a systemic and constructive approach with an emphasis on economic and psycho-pedagogical thinking and practice. It is aimed at graduates of Universities and Technological Educational Institutes (AEI/TEI) and, primarily, at primary and secondary school teachers of all specialisations, in General or Special Education, Special Education Staff (EEP), Special Support Staff (EBP), Special Education students, parents, early childhood carers and psychologists, as well as all those who follow developments in the fields of Economics and Special Education and Training.
The ultimate aim of the Course is to train participants and develop their expertise in the basic concepts of economics as they relate to special education, and in their application in educational practice. Its specific objectives combine theoretical knowledge, practical approaches and skills, and aim to strengthen education and understanding of issues relating to special education and the economy, promoting equality and social cohesion in society. In short, the Course broadens knowledge and experience in the fields of economics and special education, giving teachers and professionals the opportunity to keep up to date with the latest developments and best practices. It presents current approaches to the more effective education of pupils with special educational needs, seeking to provide participants with both theoretical and practical training.
