Corporate Finance
Introduction
The training Course “CORPORATE FINANCE” is structured into four self-contained teaching/thematic Units, lasting four, four, three and three months respectively. In the context of modern financial analysis, the aim of this Course is to provide theoretical knowledge and the most up-to-date approach to financial science, so that participants, both as individuals and as executives of organisations, can make the best investment decisions for the benefit of themselves and of the businesses in which they are employed or aim to be employed in the future, having added valuable knowledge to their existing skills by the end of the Course. The Course aims to inform both beginners and experienced professionals, finance directors, bank executives, lawyers and managers about the framework and operation of new and less widely known forms of corporate financing, such as crowdfunding, floating charges and redeemable shares, and also to present solutions to cutting-edge issues arising from bond loans and new financial and legal practices. It starts with the traditional forms of financing and progressively enables participants to gain, beyond knowledge, valuable criteria for distinguishing between and selecting forms of financing, as well as information on the latest developments in the field. The ultimate goal is an in-depth knowledge and overview of modern forms of corporate financing, together with a toolkit of solutions in more specialised fields that require cutting-edge institutional “technology”. Its purpose is, on the one hand, to inform already experienced executives about new forms of corporate financing with which they are not very familiar and to highlight issues they may not have considered, and, on the other, to introduce beginners to the world of corporate finance and equip them with a valuable certificate of knowledge.
Units
The aim of the Unit is to analyse the world of financial science, which is constantly evolving; on the basis of this reality, the Course seeks to offer added value by enriching participants in such a way that they can design, implement and take sound business decisions. The Course offers the theoretical aspects so that participants, both as individuals and as executives of organisations and businesses, can make the best investment choices.
The aim of the Unit is to offer, as a necessary complementary aspect, the application and modelling of these decisions using the main tool used in the business sector, Microsoft Excel. Through a wide range of models and exercises, on completing the Course participants will be able to use Microsoft Excel smartly and quickly to analyse and value financial securities and related products (shares, bonds, derivative contracts), investment decisions and the risks arising from them.
The Course also provides comprehensive and flexible training and approaches, both theoretically and practically, the technique of drafting and preparing Feasibility Studies, as well as the financing and evaluation of investment plans as provided for in practice by the development laws (Law 2601/98, Law 3299/2004, Law 3908/11, Law 4399/16) and by the new Development Law 4887/2022. A further aim is for trainees to acquire comprehensive knowledge, excellent information and the ability to understand all the individual features that govern the preparation of investment plans, as well as the methodologies for evaluating investments and business plans.
With particular emphasis on the processing of productive Investment Plans submitted under the development laws, as well as of investment plans implemented in accordance with the specifications of the new National Strategic Reference Framework (NSRF). The aim of this distance-learning Course is therefore to provide comprehensive and flexible training and to approach, both theoretically and practically, the technique of drafting and preparing Feasibility Studies, as well as the financing and evaluation of investment plans.
