Business Resilience and Crisis Management

Introduction

Description

Business resilience is the ability of an organisation to adapt quickly to disruptions while maintaining continuous business operations and protecting its people, assets and overall value. Business resilience starts with the understanding that business processes and workflows must be maintained for organisations to survive unexpected events. A business resilience plan is sometimes referred to as a business continuity plan. Resilience is the result of various approaches to preparedness, including business continuity, technology, crisis management, risk management and incident management. Among the major challenges of business resilience planning is the human element. Those involved must be prepared and trained in how to respond to a chaotic situation.

The seminar aims to build core skills among trainees and provides the knowledge needed in business resilience and crisis management, so that they can cope with the new conditions arising from continuous changes in the business and working environment. It is clear that, in order to meet these needs, continuous training of the country’s workforce is essential, so that it acquires new skills adapted to the changing demands of the labour market.
